Athena

Athena is the Goddess of wisdom and battle strategy. She is the most empathetic of the gods and despite Zeus' orders not to interfere with human-relations, she can't help but reach out to assist them and hopes to inspire that same feeling for mankind in her father.

Biography[]

She seems to be her father's favorite considering that when she appeared before him on earth he treated her with respect and love, this is also seen when Zeus killed her brother Ares and spared her and his reaction to her being hurt during their battle against the Titans. She like the other gods is a skilled fighter considering her status as a war goddess. The weapons she wielded in the battle against the Titans were two sickles.

History[]

Like her brethren, Athena also lives permanently on Mount Olympus, but from time to time descends from it to observe the life of men and guide them, although this gesture is expressly forbidden by Zeus. Aware of the dangerousness represented by the terrible King Hyperion, Athena interferes a first time in the fate of the enterprise of Theseus together with his brother Ares. By donating a pair of horses, the Goddess violates the prohibition being taken by the parent. Unlike Ares who faces the wrath of Zeus, Athena asks for forgiveness and re-enters Olympus waiting for the situation to be silent. When Hyperion frees the Titans thanks to Epirus Bow, she wears her Olympic armor and together with his father and other gods (Poseidon, Heracles, Apollo, and her father Zeus) attempts to stem the rebirth of the Titans. As skilful in the fight, the large number of enemies, in the end manages to overwhelm her. Throat slit with her own sickle by a Titan, after she's impaled with a spear and pinned to a wall during the battle. She falls unconscious shortly afterwards while talking to Zeus. Her body is shown again later on when Zeus carries her up to Olympus.

It is presumed she is deceased, as she is not present in the battle seen in Acamas' vision.

Powers and Abilities[]

Athena has the traditional characteristics of a god, she is blessed with incredible beauty and physical attributes such as:

  • Immortality: She will remain youthful and never be afflicted by sickness or disease and she cannot be killed by conventional or mortal means.
  • Superhuman Strength
  • Superhuman Speed
  • Superhuman Agility
  • Enhanced Durability
  • Teleportation: She is able to transport herself from Mount Olympus to Greece in a beam of shining light.
  • Transformation: She was able to disguise herself as a statue and also present herself in a "human" form for mortals to perceive her.
  • Clairvoyance: As the goddess of wisdom, Athena was able to bare witness to the happenings of the mortal world through her vision and she could see events below as they were happening.
  • Creation: Athena summoned two horses and enchanted them with incredible stamina to transport Theseus to Mount Tartarus.

Skills[]

She was a highly skilled warrior, capable of fending off - and killing - multiple Titan's, using her weapons of choice; twin sickles. Due to her status as the 'Goddess of Wisdom and Battle Strategy' it can be assumed she was one of Olympus' most capable fighters.
